MUSEUM’S NEW EXHIBIT TO HONOR BARKLEY

The Market House Museum is currently in the process of forming a new exhibit room, “The Vice President Alben Barkley Memorial Room” which will feature numerous large and small artifacts of Barkley following his life from early boyhood, through married life and concerning his political career.

Please be advised the Museum will close at noon, Friday, August 29th and not reopen till Tuesday, Sept 3rd , when the exhibit will debut to the public. In the new memorial room will be seen furniture from ‘Angles” as well as Barkley’s law office in Paducah, his Washington Senate chambers, and items that belonged to or that were used or presented to Barkley.

Most of the items have not been seen by the public in over 30 years.
